Christianity is about the truth of the love of God in Christ.
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free, says Jesus Christ.
God is love. This is truth. God loves you.
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love, writes the beloved Apostle St. John.
His love is seen most visibly in the cross, his crucifixion, for it is there, as he is dying that he loves us while taking away our sins that bind us. When we are loved not only as we are, yet even more so as we sin and violate the law of God, his love becomes most evident.
