Imagine a man having traveled the world to share the good news of Jesus Christ, under assault, military threat, the threat of kings and emperors, commoners and heretics, who would be placed in house arrest for years. Imagine what he would do after groveling for time with familiar faces and the unfamiliar to preach the good news, writing letters to all, preaching of the resurrection of the true God, Jesus Christ. Would he go and hide in a mountain cave and pray to the end? Would he go and seek peace with the emperor by making a truce not to preach once more? Would he give up and sleep a deep rest? No, rather, he, St. Paul, renewed and fearless, would ascend as an eagle towards new skies, cross seas and oceans, and walk towards new and distant lands.
