If evil were not a great disturbance to God, he would not speak of it; however, it is so great a dilemma that every issue in the Bible is centered upon its resolution. It is not simply bad, for this is a simplification of it. Evil is the twisting of all things. When good seems evil, when deception defeats truth, when lies appear as honesty and reality appear as a mirage, when strength seems like weakness, and death be disguised as life, and life be put to death.
