Հիսուս Քրիստոս Աստուած ողորմեա ինձ is the best form of the Jesus Prayer in Armenian. In abbreviated form, Քրիստոս Աստուած ողորմեա. What is important is not maintaining the form of the prayer, rather it is calling upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for this is how Christians are identified around the world, as St. Paul said to the Corinthians and as St. Ananias says to St. Paul upon his conversion. As St. Paul recalls the words of St. Ananias, “And he said, ‘The God of our fathers appointed you to know his will, to see the Righteous One and to hear a voice from his mouth; for you will be a witness for him to everyone of what you have seen and heard.And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’”
