With every passing hour, people express opinions, share ideas, and offer their point of view. They live their lives, make choices, and impact others. Yet, we have a standard view of others as benign, harmless, and simple, shaded in a color that may cover the reality of human capacity for evil.

However, just like you and I have free will, so do they. There is no limit to the degree of wrong, impurity, twisted action that can be harbored within their lives and hearts.

The fact is that humans are capable of evil and impurity. To act and live and think, regarding all as fitting in a benign and harmless normal category does not respect the fact of there being no limitation to human evil in choice making. Therefore, we ought to be aware of the possibility that any individual unknown to ourselves is in fact not only capable of evil but may be harboring it.

Be wise as a serpent, and innocent as a dove, says Jesus Christ before the Apostles travel and greet strangers unknown and masses unfamiliar with themselves with the love and hope of the good news.
