Many take simple pleasures for granted, as if these are the basics of existence. Pure water, green trees to enjoy, a country free of oppression, pleasure of company uninterrupted by intrusions, a moment of bliss in the vision of a calm blazing sun.
However, joys and simple pleasures are in fact enjoyed by those in countries who have won wars and in times of peace from threat.
In hindsight, simple pleasures are not simple nor basic, they are rare, crystals, gems, and gold, unearthed and given by the hands of God.
