What we have on earth, we shall have in heaven, it seems, for if not, then there is nothing to worry about on earth, our battles meaningless, our relationships without significance. When we pray for a heavenly gift, a possession, a person, we tax heaven drawing on its resources, depriving us of that gift in heaven, for we had it by sheer grace on earth. However, when, with the grace of the Spirit, converting concentration and strength and thoughts into virtue, virtue into act, act into love, love into attainment of heavenly prosperity, friendships, marriage, home, and posterity, we become kings of heaven now and therefore shall ever be in heaven.
