There are lives whose place on earth is greater than a thousand generations, for their posterity would have endured so long a time. There are generations whose sacrifice counts greater than this for it is upon the stone of their graves that the nations are rebuilt and remade. We are not worthy, yet in a thousand years, ages and ages hence, when you speak to the sons of those for whom they died, they may say for us - the weak, the pathetic, the vermin - with words echoing back in love and unspeakable reverence and worship for those that died, beholding new kingdoms, armies, queens, and monarchs of Armenia, “We are worthy now of what they have done.”
