The ways of this world may make false pretense of forgiveness and forgetfulness but one act of adultery, no matter how pure, chaste, beautiful, crystalline the woman may be is the nullification of all of love, all commitment, all vows, the sacrament shattered as in the words of Christ in his Sermon on the Mount.
