The will of God done in circumstances is a grace, not to be misplaced with God himself, as no blessing material ought to be replacing God himself. Love for God, the virtue of charity, demands God only, and his face beheld in love. This is Christianity.
Beginning to seek God’s will as the grace of heaven in external circumstances and material blessings, even victory in wars, without this charity in the heart to precede and encompass it as the purpose of creation, the end of all things, is a prioritization of external material blessing over God himself, being misled into a world of purposeless existence without knowing, where one’s purpose is not in line with his created nature as son of God.
The pursuit of God’s will on earth as heavenly blessedness on earth, even in circumstance, is a pursuit of joy, a pursuit preceded by the pursuit of God within the heart.
I have more joy in my heart than when their grain and wine abound!
