I’m in love,
With an image
Of a woman, noble and righteous,
Capable of handling herself
With the control of a queen
With virtues and in reverence
Not towards others, nor towards herself
But towards God and towards her king,
Which if I am worthy of being
Can stand in the morning and be free
of anxiety
of a sinful and weak woman,
Who is like poison to bones.
In the evening she is my pride and joy,
Her virtues shining
And glistening like the stars of Heaven.
Here I tell all humanity and even to God,
Behold this woman true and glorious,
Given to me to love
As she runs towards eternity
As a white untamed horse runs across ocean shores,
Untouched and Virgin,
Wild and Beautiful,
Free and obedient
And everlasting.
