Some see suffering in the lives of Christians, and cannot affirm their faith for in doing so they affirm also the pain of the cross all must bear to enter eternal life.

However, the Psalms speak of a different story, in which the evil enjoy wealth, laughter, scoffing, and dominance - the judgement certain but likely at the end if not the eternal end.

Though this be true, there is punishment that is divine, a punishment that is borne alone, in a dark room, praying for forgiveness, yet not tortured, not bleeding, but only mournful to a great extent.

The suffering of the Christian is a divine blessing, for he may be expiating the sins of his family, his country, humanity, and in doing so, becomes the gate to eternal life for thee.
