Jealousy is the ugliest sin: it is an ugly reaching into another in decrepitness of soul, heart, mind, and spirit. It is not a disease for I can have compassion - it is a defilement and a spoiling of the goodness of life. The very gaze of a jealous eye or heart is a revealing of the darkest and most ugly internal condition. It is a hideousness, an eagerness and defiled desire to possess what is another's, not because it is good, but because of an ugliness within, to which hideousness the very act of being jealous adds to an unbecoming degree.
Be pure, be chaste, and you will be satisfied with the beauty of the face of God and the beauty of the inner state of the soul, and you will have the compulsory reaction written above.
