Through adversity, the toughest, the darkest, the most treacherous, how hard it is to find hope, to find a way to remain with eyes set on the light of the Lord. We would like to die, or rather to simply let go into the darkness, or fight it in unreasonable grit and force.
To remain with eyes set on the light that awaits us and the peace and golden chambered and castled walls that will be our home requires a heart that is willing to rest with God and to listen to his words, but most of all to see within our lives and in the cosmos, the signs and very substance of the bliss that comes from his golden kingdom filled with light.
Look, a cloud and behind it the light expanding in all directions from within it. Look a photograph and the intricacies of the nature depicted in the wild and hills and boulders mounted in expansive range with springs flowing from between the crevices flowing as water doth flow simply and purely into a lake.
And still yet look, at the eyes that see, the ears that hear, the hands that hold, the heart that so feels the delicacy of life and the ferocity of love. It is you.
And still there is more… So now flee this place and go towards the mountaintops, go and find the light that shines through the heavens and its beauty, go and dream again with God so that you may find the peace that does away with all excuses, all anxieties, all goals, all missions, however great, the peace that speaks a silence that quiets the universe and all things into reverent rest in the arms of our loving and everlasting Father, in the love of his only begotten Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, who dwells vested in gold in blissful kingdoms that never end in praise for the Holy and Triune love of God.
And yet, do not travel too far off, beloved, for the kingdom that is above and coming to earth is truly within you and if you be born again, and only so, you already do taste its beauty, its light, its glory, its mightiness, its bliss as an ever-present remembrance within the depths of your soul wherein the seeds of its love, fortified and eternal, have been placed and this kingdom made its claim upon you as a citadel of the Lord within what is now a son of God, your very self.
