St. Paul neither wielded sword nor used shield in his voyage across the earth, yet he waged a holy war that is felt deeply in the heart of history, in the hearts of those who knew him spiritually through ages. It is no wonder that he is depicted with sword and Bible in hand, for he was a holy warrior and his battles as gritty as they get, using every inch of ground to proceed his attack on the powers and principalities of this world by the light of the words of Jesus Christ, the good news of salvation through faith in Christ, his death and resurrection.
