The practice of quoting books, not of saintly origin, nor of inspired lips, is a submission to an intellect that you, if comprehending, do not need, and if not comprehending, cannot evaluate. 

It is beneath certain minds to quote a book of another, when in the heart and experiences of the individual is a spring and fountain of life and knowledge yet to be written.
