Looking at another, what do you see?
Do you see an object to change, to manipulate, to improve? A person to assist, to serve, to protect?
What is love but the will to do good to another? But is it the will to change? No, it is not. For the will to change is based on manipulation of reality, the tampering with creation, the effort to change an internal mental state in oneself for satisfaction or to acquire a circumstantial benefit.
On one end, it is pride, on the other it is hatred.
