Happiness, according to Aristotle is not a state of the mind acquired in an instant, but having prerequisites for its presence in our life - even virtue not being enough, but a mind that is fully developed, basic necessities acquired, and an educated intellect, especially in philosophy, classical preferably rather than the the depression of contemporary thinkers. Happiness is not pleasure but something more, not changing or going away from instant to instant, sustained by a good conscience and a smart mind.
