Darkness fills the room,

My body tired from a long night of restless turning.

Dreams of torture taunt me,

of tragedy,

of wronging,

and of defilement of all that is good in me and in life.

But then,

I rise and look upon the heavens,

the sky that is colored so gently with hues of purple and blue,

and I,

like the falcon that glides with motionless wings before my eyes, which turn towards its flight,

marvel in transcendent flight in the majesty of what I see,

and my mind ascends towards the bliss that life can be,

and my heart flies with winged love for all I see,

for the birds are chirping, the birds are chirping!

And I chuckle like never before,

And I go and commence the day with the little birds that sing,

Held within my heart,

Till I feel thankful tears forming within my eyes,

For I am gifted with the beauty of such life.
