If we look at the ancient hymn, we see holiness as a trinity recurrent, indicating not that it is a separate virtue but the essential attribute of God, being necessary for the others, might and immortality, to be, rather a feature of these attributes that follow. For might without holiness is worldliness and immortality impossible without it.
