Many look around, and seemingly aged and wise say, as though noticing something new,

What has become of this world? It is lost and in sin, unrecoverable, irredeemable, hopeless.

Let us remember that long ago, the Psalmist wrote,

They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They have all gone astray, they have all together become filthy: there is none that does good, no, not one.

Take comfort in these words, and behold the world in the palms of eternity. Do not panic, and do not fret, for the deterioration of civilization is nothing new. The unchastity of men and women in entirety, the reign of lust, is an old tale. Sinful generations come and go, but the Lord remains forever, eternal. There is hope in this: that when mankind falls and does evil, it is nothing new, but an old tale that has been told many times before. The righteous will rise, its numbers return enumerable. The good old days are ahead, so prepare the coming generation, and do not look back. Wait for the Lord, and you will see a light beaming from heaven into the hearts of children, the light of righteousness.
