What if the following law were upheld? It is the globalization and just generalization of eye for eye and tooth for tooth, but not merely for injuries, but for every sin and harm inflicted. It is not merely enough to make equal the wrong, but to inflict greater wrong on those who have wronged another. This is in fact what the human heart seeks in justice and in life.
