Can you imagine, the ancient tongue, the holy language, the words infused with grace and with purity and reverence? Though with slight variations and menial differences, and more earthly pronunciation, we have within writing and upon our lips, the words and the language of our third and fourth century ancestors. Throughout every age, kings and queens, knights and infantry, priests, craftsmen, artists, writers, athletes, civilians, mothers, fathers, and children, have had upon their hearts and in their minds and upon their lips, the same words I may speak today. Armenian is a language of saints, of knights, of kings. May it be eternal upon earth and never die, so that those who ascend from earth to heaven may discourse with our ancestors and our posterity in love.
