We live in a world where nothing good happens and no repentance occurs unless the wrath of God is involved. And when it is, it is a response of justice to the sins and purposeful failures or ignorances of the people rather than there being a gift of blessings due to the will of God occurring in a society that does not oppose his will in foolishness and in deliberate evil. We should do things out of love of God and delight in doing his will, or at the very least out of conscience in wanting to do right and not wanting to do wrong and violate our moral sense.
