St. Vartan is holy. His intercession, and the protection of his golden sword, his holy armor, and his strength is found in celebrating his victory, his sacrifice. For in him we find victory where there seems to be none, and in him we may see his joy in martyrdom, the joy of victory, of giving oneself beyond measure to the King of heaven and earth, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, to country and to land, and to protect forever the right to practice Christianity in Armenia and in all places.
