How may we attain the greater fear? And what of the lesser - is it not nearly as efficacious, the fear of hell and of temporal punishments? Who would sin before the prospect of hell and the punishments that God may inflict?
It is through love, the virtue of charity rather, for one cannot be centered on God, with him as our purpose and life's attainment, without first loving him. And in this love is birthed a fear, the fear of departing from our heavenly creator in our hearts, minds, wills, and bodies.
And how do we attain love? It is through repentance and prayer, so that attaining a state of grace, we may receive the theological virtues of faith, hope, and love, ever listed as eternal by the Apostle Paul.
So pray, not only to attain this love, but to repent of our sins, so deeply, that we may enter within the house of the Lord, or rather have him enter us, a dwelling place without sins, free and cleansed.
What is the tactic, what is the method? What are the spiritualities?
There is none, for there is one - it is the crawl towards eternity with bear hands, the method known only to you, repentance, the climbing of a mountain so high it reaches the face of God - a climb which needs no explanation, but this - you know your wrongs, repent of them and seek forgiveness from God and soar towards eternity guided by the commandments, the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, given strength through great acts and deeds.
