First Light
Amidst the structures of logic and principles, we may find wisdom in following our conscience in the safety of a fortress of reason. When guided by logic alone, we become insensitive to others, to ourselves, and to God. When guided by principles, we become as rigid as the strictness of these constraining rules, losing sight of the voice and the senses given to our body and spirit and the gifts of discernment, knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. However, girded with truth, reasoning, and unchanging laws, conscience may emanate from God into our hearts to guide us into Trinitarian action and Christian victory.
Conscience is a river flowing from them mind of God, and when its bed is deep, its walls firm, it flows without end, with ease, roaring through forests, jungles, and eroding great obstacles, stones, and rocks, through time and persistence.
