What is praise?
Praise is the fruit of a soul united to God, with undying love for Jesus Christ. It is the lips that speak and the heart that knows. It is the most hidden knowledge. It is the most simple experience. To love God is to be right next to him, it is to have him within you and to know he is there yet beyond you. Praise is the fruit of a soul united to God. It is the expression of love that spontaneously flows from a heart that will never die, for it is held in the hands of Jesus Christ. He is within like a gem hidden in the locket of the heart, hidden deeply, and deeply known, that no one sees, neither you nor I, but he is known, so gently, so precisely, that he is not beyond only, but very near within, so close that he is kept in the locket of one's heart.
